The Pistons 76ers Rivalry and the Legacy of the Pistons.

well i respect both sides between detroit and philly

but im in favor of detroit, good thing philly is giving detroit such a great game by leading the series by 2-1 a day ago but detroit prevailed by winning it yesterday at philadelphia in wachovia center by prince and wallace' performance.

as i said the real game of detroit is shown here in the playoffs

like san antonio spurs they are also monstrous at the playoffs, meaning to say unstoppable unless one of the motown favorite club will gain an attitude of feeling overrated kinda like that. you know what i mean Flip Saunders.

they can move to the NBA finals if they continued playing monstrous in the Playoffs until they face the most favored team of the Present which was the three headed monster of Ray, The Big Ticket and The Truth of the Boston Celtics.

Detroit Pistons was the only team that took 7 games to beat by san antonio spurs which were totally battled tested since 2003 championship "the arrival of Manu Ginobili"

thats why detroit is the contender

Pistons Gained Momentum in Game 4

Pistons 93, Sixers 84 (F) Recaps April 27,2008 PlayOff,Rasheed Wallace came alive for 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Pistons rallied past the Sixers in Game 4.

Detroit 93, Philadelphia 84
PHILADELPHIA, April 27 (AP) - A dash of perfection was exactly what Detroit needed to go from the brink of a disastrous deficit to back in control of the series.

All it took was 12 minutes.

Tayshaun Prince scored 23 points and made all but one shot from the field, and the Pistons played with a purpose and dominated the second half to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 93-84 on Sunday night, tying the best-of-seven Eastern Conference playoff series at 2-2.

"Everybody knows that we are good under pressure,'' said guard Chauncey Billups said. "I hate that we put ourselves in this position a lot of times.''

Game 5 is Tuesday night at Detroit.

The Pistons squashed all that chatter about heading home with a series deficit, erasing a 10-point halftime deficit by outscoring the 76ers 34-16 in the third quarter.

That combined 4-for-14 first half from Billups and Rasheed Wallace? Forgotten after they drilled consecutive 3-pointers in the period. Prince - 11-for-12 from the floor - followed with a baseline layup to cap an 11-0 spurt and give the Pistons their first lead of the game, 47-46.

Wallace, perhaps fired up after he was T'd up in the final seconds of the first half, hit two more 3s that whipped a 14-point deficit all the way around to a 60-53 lead.

"I believe in the guys who are in our locker room,'' Billups said.

Wallace was 5-for-12 from the field, but sank all three 3s in the third. Billups' 4-for-16 was an afterthought compared to his nine-point, three-assist quarter. Prince was, of course, a perfect 3-for-3.

"Once Sheed got going from the outside, things really started to work in our favor,'' Prince said.

The Pistons picked up the defensive pressure and forced seven turnovers in the third. Detroit played like the 76ers did in Game 3, with active hands in the lane and pressure up top that rattled the upstart home team.

"The game turned just like that,'' 76ers coach Maurice Cheeks said. "We gave them life and we gave them life in the third quarter.''

The Sixers pumped up the crowd when they played season highlights set to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'.'' Then Detroit guaranteed its season won't unexpectedly cut-to-black.

All the euphoria the Sixers created after a 20-point win in Game 3 only grew as they raced to a 14-point first-half lead. The younger, faster, confident Sixers were taking it to the aging, slumping Pistons yet again.

Then the real Pistons showed up in the third quarter, not the ones who tossed in the towel on Friday.

They haven't reached five straight Eastern Conference finals by losing two straight road games to the seventh seed in the first round.

"It doesn't matter what round it is, when you go down 3-1, you put yourselves in a tough situation,'' Prince said.

Wallace finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Richard Hamilton bounced back from a 1-for-10 first half to finish with 18 points. Billups also scored 18 points.

Antonio McDyess did not start but scored 10 points a day after he had surgery to repair a broken nose. He never thought about sitting out and wore a mask to protect the nose broken in the third quarter of Game 3.

Nothing can protect Andre Iguodala from more criticism about his awful playoff series.

Cheeks was peppered with more questions about the pressing need for the slumping forward to start scoring big baskets. Iguodala showed early promise and made his first three shots, then collapsed again and finished with only 12 points.

Unlike the Pistons stars, Iguodala never got untracked in the second half. He missed 10 of his final 11 shots and misfired on several wild attempts when he tried to seemingly take a 3-1 series lead all by himself.

"We've got to work harder on the game plan and I've got to be shooting better shots,'' Iguodala said.

Samuel Dalembert had 12 points and 12 rebounds. Andre Miller and Willie Green each scored 13 points.

Iguodala appeared to have ended his slump when he faked Jarvis Hayes, spun away from his fallen defender and buried the jumper for his prettiest bucket of the series. The play was nothing more than a brief flash of his regular-season self and he dropped to 11-for-49 from the floor in the first four games.

"I'm not going to go out and put pressure on him that he has to score 25, 30 points for us to win,'' Cheeks said.

Rodney Carney drilled a 3 and Miller's layup made it 45-31 for Philly's largest lead of the half.

Wallace, whose jumper early in the first matched his point total for Game 3, screamed at the official after he was called for an offensive foul and was quickly whistled for a technical. Wallace continued to bark at the refs even as his teammates tried to block him out on the bench and prevent a possible ejection.

The Pistons trailed 46-36 at the break, but perhaps the tone was set to take off in the second half.

Notes: Jason Maxiell started for McDyess. ... Injured Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins was at the game and waved his rally towel. First baseman Ryan Howard sent a videotaped message of support. ... Wallace cracked up when the 76ers showed a "separated at birth'' timeout video comparing an open mouth shot of him next to Jimmie Walker's "JJ'' character from "Good Times.''

The Game 4 Victory of Phoenix Suns over San Antonio "Was a Mystery or Forgiven Game by the spurs???"

PHOENIX(AP) -- There was no San Antonio sweep, not even close.

Boris Diaw had 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in one of the best playoff performances of his career, and the Phoenix Suns stayed alive with a 105-86 rout of the Spurs on Sunday.

Raja Bell scored 21 of his 27 points in a dominant first half to help Phoenix bring a one-sided end to the defending NBA champions' nine-game playoff winning streak. The Suns were 11-0 in the regular season when Bell scored at least 20.

Phoenix still trails the first-round series 3-1, with Game 5 on Tuesday night in San Antonio. No NBA team has come back from 0-3 to win a series.

Steve Nash and Leandro Barbosa scored 15 apiece for the Suns. Shaquille O'Neal had 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni drew two technicals and was ejected with 3:38 to play and his team up 104-80.

Diaw, starting in place of injured Grant Hill, also led the Suns' vastly improved defense, guarding his good friend and fellow Frenchman Tony Parker much of the game.

Parker, who scored a career-high 41 in Game 3 and was averaging 33 in the series, led San Antonio with 18 points and Manu Ginobili scored 10.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich threw in the towel by benching both of them along with Tim Duncan late in the third quarter.

After watching the Spurs play to near-perfection in a 115-99 victory on Friday, the Suns were the aggressors from the start on Sunday.

Phoenix led by 21 after one quarter, by as many as 24 in the second and by 30 in the third.

Nash's 15-footer gave the Suns a 79-49 lead with 5:50 left in the third quarter. With Parker and Duncan on the bench, San Antonio cut it to 22 late in the quarter, but it was 93-65 entering the fourth.

Bell shot 6-of-7, 3-for-4 on 3-pointers to lead Phoenix to a 65-43 halftime lead. Diaw scored 10 points in the half.

The Suns never led in Game 3, but built big advantages early in the first two games, only to lose at the end. Their first-quarter start Sunday was their best yet.

Diaw's shot over Ginobili inside made it 11-1, and it was 20-9 after Barbosa's driving layup with 5:41 left in the first. It was 34-13 after one.

San Antonio was 4-for-19 shooting with six turnovers in the first two quarters.

The Spurs cut it to 12 three times in the second quarter, the last at 49-37 on Ginobili's 15-foot bank shot with 4:55 to go. Phoenix, though, scored the next 12 - six on free throws by Bell - to go up 61-37 on Diaw's layup with 1:33 left in the half.

Notes: Hill sat after being slowed by a sore right groin in the first three games. ... The 22-point lead was the largest in any playoff game this year. ... San Antonio shot 38 percent in the first half (16-of-42). ... Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim were in the crowd. Krzyzewski is head coach of the U.S. Olympic basketball team. Boeheim and D'Antoni are assistants. ... Phoenix had two turnovers in the first half, while San Antonio had nine.

My Recap and thoughts regarding the SUNS team's victory in game 4

I don't think that the spurs are that easy to beat?

i mean come on they almost can beat the suns 4-0

what happened the suns win at their home court? their 1st win of the Playoffs 2008, well i dont think the spurs had done tremendous on that game 4 lost, maybe they just let the suns win it just like a philosophy "give chance today, Kill them tomorrow" well looks like thats the memo i believe

the suns will going nowhere in the series? they were almost outnumbered anytime they meet te dynamic trio of Parker Ginobili and Duncan plus the perfectly blend of the spurs team.

for me

its a mystery win. reason they trail 3-0 and they just beat the spurs like that meaning, the spurs have more plans for the suns and that is to beat them at the alamo city in At&T center.

in fact the suns are going home hopeless and starting another new blend with shaq once again next year, that trade was the reborn of "Sir Charles Era" like that.

meaning to say shaq will be the barkley now adays hehe,

lets see if the suns can survive or knocked off by mr big fundamental, Manu and TP9.

this is the most discussed and most watched rivalry of the NBA right now

the rivalry of the Century SUNS and SPURS.

Adolf Hitler (The Nazi Chancellor to Fuhrer)

Photobucket

Adolf Hitler (20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) was an Austrian-born politician who led the National Socialist German Workers Party. He was Chancellor of Germany (1933-1934) and Führer (1934-1945).

The Nazi Party gained power during Germany's period of crisis after World War I, exploiting effective propaganda and Hitler's charismatic oratory. The Party stressed nationalism, antisemitism and anti-communism, and murdered many of its opponents. The Nazis restructured the state economy, rearmed the armed forces (Wehrmacht), and established a totalitarian or fascist dictatorship. Hitler then pursued an aggressive foreign policy, with the goal of seizing Lebensraum. The German Invasion of Poland in 1939 drew the British and French Empires into World War II.

The Wehrmacht was initially successful and the Axis Powers occupied most of Mainland Europe and parts of Asia. Eventually the Allies defeated the Wehrmacht. By 1945, Germany was in ruins. Hitler's bid for territorial conquest and racial subjugation had caused the deaths of tens of millions of people, including the systematic genocide of an estimated six million Jews, not including various other "undesirable" populations, in what is known as the Holocaust.

During the final days of the war in 1945, as Berlin was being invaded and destroyed by the Red Army, Hitler married Eva Braun. Less than 24 hours later, the two committed suicide in the Führerbunker.

Hitler's reputation as a German leader was invincible, he conquered so many low and neutral countries in only 2 months, by his blitzkrieg.; he seized all of the enemy defenses, his reputation as a fuhrer had led him to his overrated acts as he launched the all out war vs britain by 1940 and also the operation barbarossa by 1941, his legacies had led the nazis victorious during those glory days of the third reich.

they almost win the war if hitler did not invaded USSR and remained ally for stalin as they both signed the Nazi Soviet Pact by 1939 i think. he is a good general but an overrated successor.

His Plans are effective, I usually use his strategy in company of heroes when i use the wermacht and the US Army.

I love his strategies, but i more refer my own tactic at the tactical games on Eisenhower's strategy.

The Story of Pistons in game 3 of the playoffs

The Pistons during Game 3

White Hot – Rip Hamilton made 7 of his first 8 shots and Tayshaun Prince 8 of his first 9. On almost any other night, two players having that kind of game would translate into an easy Pistons win. But with everybody else shooting himself in the foot – they finished 17 of 27, everybody else 10 of 39 with a combined five baskets through three quarters – it wasn’t nearly enough to make the game so much as competitive. Hamilton finished with 23 points and Prince with 18, but even their nights come with an asterisk. Prince had five turnovers and Hamilton four.

PRINCE: “This team is similar to Chicago last year as far as we have to contain their guards and we have to keep their bigs off the boards. That’s a priority, but they are beating us to the punch. We need to set the tone.”

Blue Collar – Reggie Evans might be one of the least-skilled players in the NBA, which explains why he went undrafted out of Iowa. But Evans’ toughness and hustle has driven Philadelphia to believe it can beat the Pistons, not just make it respectable. Evans gave Philly nine pints, five boards and two steals and battled against Wallace, at one point stripping him of the ball, dribbling the other way and barreling through Hunter – who thought he drew the charge – and then made his first free throw.

EVANS: “We’ve got a team. We’ve got a unity. We come together out of unity. We have a team together. We don’t have individuals. … We’re at home (on Sunday). We’re going to feed off this incredible crowd. We’re going to take full advantage of this before we go back to the Motor City.”

Red Flag – Where to start? Wallace, McDyess, the bench – all very troublesome. But the biggest mystery of the night was Billups, who finished 2 of 11 and didn’t just miss but missed very badly on most attempts. Billups always says he and his team’s offense are at their best when he plays aggressively, but he was extremely passive aside from one assertive drive that produced a late first-quarter layup. Other than the fourth-quarter goaltend, that was his only basket of the game. He also chipped in three turnovers against just four assists.

STORY OF THE NIGHT – During a long third-quarter dry spell with the Pistons desperately trying to keep Philly within arm’s length, Jason Maxiell caused a Philadelphia turnover that led to a fast break. Hamilton left his feet at the foul line to shoot, then spotted Prince cutting to the basket on his left. But his pass was deflected, leading to a Philadelphia fast break that took the lead back to 10. It was Detroit’s 17th turnover. And that play involved the only two Pistons who had anything going offensively all night.

BRUTAL START – The Pistons hoped to take the raucous Philly home crowd out of it early by executing on offense, so the game couldn’t have started worse – or more symbolically, as it turned out. The first three possessions went turnover, air ball, turnover, forcing Saunders to take a timeout barely two minutes into the game with Philly ahead 6-0. After a Prince basket, he threw the ball away on the next possession for a third turnover in five trips.

STILL STRUGGLING – Imagine the problems the Pistons might have if Andre Igoudala ever starts to play. Igoudala, who averaged 10 points in the first two games and shot 5 of 24, again had a lousy night offensively. Igoudala shot just 2 of 9 and finished right at his average of 10. But just like every Pistons positive had an asterisk, so does this Philly negative. Igoudala did contribute six assists and four rebounds.

well detroit is now using how not to win it sweep also learn for the new opponent team. get well soon antonio, make it a great bounce back on game 4. we are counting on you from the friendster philippine group of Detroit Pistons!!!

Pistons 76ers Game 2 2008 Playoffs

2008 Playoff Rd 1 Game 2 Highlight Pistons vs 76ers

Here it is, after many technical difficulties, I finally can record and edit my videos again. Poor quality for now.

Well, thanks for uploading, i believe the pistons are trying to examine the 76ers' strongest and weakness points, well mcdyess had done a terrific job as a starter, i want the benches or also known as the zoo crew to step up for the back ups.

if i were flip; i would make some adjustments finds somebody at the bench that can guard the key players like iguodala dalembert and miller, both of them are experienced already; iguodala at the 2005 and dalembert too, andre miller in 2004 but 1st rounders only, here is the blunder

these guys can upset a team like boston and detroit, well larry brown had done a terrific job as a vice president of the philly basketball corps, he resigned already but i hope detroit will get him back this time as one of the assistant coach of flip, why not (offense and defense together).

The Zoo Crews must step up; Samb, Maxiell Johnson Stuckey and Afflalo must do something and help the starters if they are losing a momento in scoring.

Plan A let them score 1st and Examine their Weakness and Options about how they did execute scoring.

Plan B Examine the options after winning game 2 move on don't acquire overconfident. move on the other options to avoid defeats.

My X Factor of the Series: Lindsey Hunter, Tayshaun Prince, Jason Maxiell and Amir Johnson

Amir? He can Hustle and also score a paint also Maxiell too, Tayshaun, he is an inside and outside player, he can also shutdown iguodala, Hunter? he is the piston snatcher, he can steal balls i will need him for hustlin', thats why they are the X factor of the series and the playoffs too.

In offense, let the starters and my mentioned zoo crew do their job for it.

lets do the Green archer play, Yes Plays on Defense no plays in offense just teamplay. balance works.

that is the consideration for the PISTONS basketball

DEEEETROIT BASKETBALL!!!!!!!
