Easy Company drops into Normandy, France. Almost all the troops miss their drop zones and are scattered from Carentan to Ravenoville. Easy Company's first objective is to take out a German artillery installation at Brecourt Manor, a few kilometers north of Ste. Marie-du-Mont.
On June 6, 1944, D-Day, planes with thousands of paratroopers cross the English Channel to France, where they come under heavy fire. None of the men land where they expected to, and many lose their weapons and supplies in the drop. Winters links up with solitary soldiers, and they set off to find their units. Winters (Damian Lewis) is later chosen to lead an attack on a fortified German artillery position; the mission is successful, but Winters, now acting company commander, loses his first man.
A sad moment right here when meehan’s plane went down, after being fired out by the german anti aircraft.
Winters proved right here to Guarnere that he is not a quacker, he showed leadership speed and agility at these episode, he was the acting commanding officer of the easy after they found out that Meehan was killed in the plane. During the action he led the army to raid the these Arthilery Point near Utah Beach, cause way number 2. as you can see he reviews the map and made an impressive plan of executing the objective.
I think this is one of the most successful tactics that every military men had ever done before, its not easy because so many MG 42s surrounded the battery, good thing they have shifty powers he is a sharp shooter and john hall he has his TNT. To eliminate the cannons, this plan is successful but some lives were lost including the 506th basketball team member John hall I feel sorry for him. But he died with honor for his country.
