The New Orleans Hornets and Citadel Broadcasting announced today that the Hornets vs. Spurs game on Monday, May 19 will broadcast on all Citadel properties in New Orleans as well as WIBR in Baton Rouge. Fans can tune in to a must-win Game 7 of the second round of the playoffs on the Hornets flagship station KMEZ 102.9, KKND 106.7, WMTI 106.1 and WDVW 92.3.

“Citadel has been a great partner with the Hornets throughout the entire season and the playoffs, and we appreciate them showing their support for our team in what is a very critical Game 7,” said Hornets Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Broadcasting Peter Goldsberry. “This unprecedented broadcast is going to allow fans across the city of New Orleans to tune in to another exciting match-up between the Hornets and Spurs.”

The Hornets and Citadel are wrapping up a successful first year of a three-year partnership. During this historic season, the Hornets have set numerous franchise records including the most wins in franchise history (56), as well as numerous individual records from Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler and David West.

"The New Orleans Hornets have had a phenomenal season and in an effort to support the biggest event in New Orleans sports history, we've decided to carry Game 7 not only on KMEZ Old School 102.9, but also on WDVW Mix 92.3, KKND 106.7 The Wolf, and WMTI True Oldies 106.1 so everyone can join in the buzz," said Citadel Market Manager Dave Kubicki.

In the best-of-seven series of the second round of the playoffs, the Hornets are tied with the Spurs 3-3 and must win Game 7 on Monday to move into the Conference Finals. Monday’s tip-off is TBD.

“This is just another example of the entire city of New Orleans uniting to cheer for our hometown team,” said Hornets Owner George Shinn. “We are thrilled that this community has fallen in love with our team, and the enthusiasm and excitement only pushes our guys to play harder and win.”
